Bridgestone to obtain POA from EASA

EASA has approved BridgestoneyKurume Plant as Production Organisation.

Tokyo (September 12, 2005)|aridgestone Corporation obtained POA (Production Organisation Approval) from EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) as of September 9, 2005 for its Kurume Plant in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, where it manufactures new aircraft tires.

POA is one of EASA's approvals and refers to Subpart G in Part 21 under EASA's Implementation Rules (Reg 1702/2003).

This means that Bridgestoneyquality system for new aircraft tire production was approved by EASA and Bridgestone is the 5th company which obtained this approval outside EU all over the world.

In accordance with this approval, Bridgestone has issued the certificate zdASA Form 1zÛÇor new aircraft tires its Kurume Plant manufactures.

In addition, Bridgestone operates aircraft tire retreading plants at another site in Japan and in the United States, Belgium and Hong Kong. Bridgestone provides airlines with seamless, global support for all of their product and maintenance needs in tires.
