Bridgestone Group Donates to Relief Efforts in New Zealand

Tokyo (April 5, 2011) - The Bridgestone Group today announced that it donated more than ¥11 million (approximately US$129 thousand) in total to assist with relief efforts following the February 22 earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Bridgestone Corporation donated ¥5 million (approximately US$59 thousand) to the New Zealand Red Cross (2011 Earthquake Appeal). Bridgestone Australia Ltd.(BSAL), a subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation, and Bridgestone New Zealand Ltd., a subsidiary of BSAL, donated NZ$100 thousand (approximately US$70 thousand) to the same organization.

The Bridgestone Group expresses its sincere condolences to the families who have lost loved ones as a result of this tragedy, and we wish the nation of New Zealand a rapid recovery.
