Bridgestone to Establish a Manufacturing and Export Sales Company for Passenger Car Tires in Vietnam

Tokyo (December 15, 2011) Bridgestone Corporation today announced plans to establish a manufacturing and export sales company for radial tires for passenger cars (PSR) in Vietnam, following its announcement on November 11, 2011 to build a new PSR plant in Vietnam. The capital for the company will be US$ 307.8 million (approximately ¥ 23.7 billion), and Bridgestone Corporation will have 100% ownership of the company. The company is planned to be established in February, 2012.

Moving forward, the Bridgestone Group will continue working to bolster its global supply capacity and build a system so that it can rapidly supply high-quality products to meet market demands.

2. Location: Dinh Vu Industrial Zone, Hai Phong City, Vietnam
3. Products: Radial tires for passenger cars

5. Planned Schedule of Establishment : February, 2012
6. The Capital for the New Company : US$ 307.8 million (approximately ¥ 23.7 billion)
